Czestochowa Tour
We invite you to Czestochowa - the place of worship of Virgin Mary and an important site of the pilgrimage in Poland for hundreds of years.
You will visit the Pauline's Monastery with its main church, fortress and museum situated on the famous hill of Jasna Gora (car access). It will take approx. 2 hours.
The Jasna Gora Monastery is the most famous shrine to Virgin Mary in Poland. It was founded in 1382 by Pauline monks who came from Hungary at the invitation of Wladyslaw, Duke of Opole.
The picture of Black Madonna of Czestochowa, to which miraculous powers are attributed, is Jasna Gora's most precious treasure. The icon, depicting the Mother of God with the Christ Child, has been widely venerated and credited with many miracles. such as saving the Jasna Gora monastery during 17th century Swedish invasion.
For a tour to Czestochowa we'll take you directly from the place of your choice in Krakow at approx. 9.00 AM. After sightseeing return to the place of your choice in Krakow.
